Hello all!!! When you think about desert the first thing comes to your mind is heat and sand. In some survival shows like Man vs Wild you would have seen that it will be extremely hot during day time and extremely cold during night time. In this post we are gonna learn why desert is cold during night time?
The hot and cold whether is highly dependent on the humidity. If level of humidity is high in air then it will take more time to heat and to cool. Humidity is the water vapour present in air.
If you are in Tamilnadu where the humidity level is pretty average, then in day time you may experience 32°C and in night time you may experience 28 or 29°C. This is because the water vapour in air absorbs heat during day time and takes lot of time to get cool down.
In desert water vapour will be very less. So the humidity level will be very less in air. During day time the sunlight will heat up the air faster, since there is only less water vapour in air. This will bring up extremely high temperature during day time.
During night time, the air will get cooled faster. This is because the water vapour is less in the air. So it will take less time to cool it.
