Happy New Year to everyone. We know the evolution of technology in the past decade. It is an enormous growth. Today I am gonna share some of the technologies which will be commercially available in the next decade. So let's get started.
According to me, the major innovation in technology will happen in the following fields;
- Transportation
- Communication
- Education
Transportation
One of the major field which play a major part in our day-to-day life is transportation. Space travel, Hyperloop, electric vehicles, flying cars are some of the technologies which will be available in the net decade.
Space Travel
Japan and India has planned to send humans to Moon. This is gonna happen most probably on 2024. India is going to launch Chandrayaan 3 this year (2020). This mission is to support the future mission Gangalyaan.
Space X, CEO Elon Musk has announced that, Space X will be sending humans to Mars in the year 2024. After this space travel will be commercially available. Even common people can pay for space travel and have a wonderful journey in space.
Some research are also done using Graphene. This will provide a launch pad in space using which the space travel cost will be reduced exponentially. This will also eliminate the use of rocket.
Hyperloop
Hyperloop transportation is one of the most interesting and innovative idea. Mechanism can explained using and example. Consider rain falling from cloud to ground. Since air is present in between cloud and ground, the rain drops will experience friction which will reduce its speed. If air is not present (vacuum), then the rain drops will falling in an enormously high speed. This is because friction is not present.
In the same way, a train structure is kept inside a chamber. Now the camber is made vacuum. Then the train is allowed to run. Since air is absent, friction will also be absent. This will increase the speed of the train exponentially.
The idea was proposed publicly in 2012 by Elon Musk. According to some papers, it is expected that the speed of travelin hyperloop model will be 1,200 km/hr. Yes, you heard it right it's 1,200 km/hr.
Work for the hyperloop travel is being carried out in various countries. Company named Hyperloop One is expected to finish the project first. Then it will be commercially available to passengers. This technology can also be used to transport goods.
Electric Vehicles
This decade is gonna be the evolution of more number of electric vehicles. Tesla model S electric car is already commercially available. Many other companies are also getting in to electric vehicle field. It reduces pollution and promotes autonomous driving.
In some countries like India, electric vehicles are tax free. If you are buying an electric vehicle then you no need to pay tax for it. This condition is given to promote the sales of electric vehicles and to reduce the sales of fuel based vehicles.
Flying Cars
Flying cars are like drones. They are used to carry passengers from one place to another through air. Many prototypes are already available in the market. Research is going on it to increase efficiency and other parameters. It is expected to be commercially available in the upcoming decade.
Communication
The technology or science which connects humans are communication. Revolution in communication had started when the Telephone was invented. Now let's see what innovation will happen in the next decade.
Smartphones
Smartphones are getting bigger and smarted everyday. This is mainly because of the competition out there in the smartphone market. Every year companies are trying to integrate something new in the smartphones.
Companies like Apple, Samsung, Google are bringing up new innovation in smartphones. Recently Google has brought up a new concept of wave control. Samsung has introduced the foldable smartphone.
In the coming decade we can expect the smartphones to be transparent and more compact.
Wearables
In the upcoming decade it is expected that the smartphones will get replaced by wearables. This is because of it's compact size and light weight.
For the past few years a prototype of a wearable video has been circulated. It is shown that using wearable you can do the same like the smartphones. It looks more innovative. Probably many companies will be working on it. Expecting it to be available in the next decade.
Virtual Reality
Facebook is working on it's virtual reality based Facebook app. Mark has already shown a demo of virtual reality Facebook. He told that in future Facebook will be in the virtual reality world.
This will provide better connectivity between the users. While talking to each other you will feel like it is reality. Microsoft has proposed it's virtual reality lens. This will allow workers to work in a cooperative manner.
Education
Robot based teaching and virtual reality will be the dominating technology in the future.
Robot Based Teaching
Robot teacher technology has been implemented in some places. Currently it is used only in home. This will guide the student like a teacher. The robot will be having the power of A.I (Artificial Intelligence) and Machine Learning(M.L).
According to the behaviour of student, the robot will learn about the student. This will give more understanding of the student. Now the robot will teach the student accordingly.
Virtual Reality
If your teacher allowed you to stay in home, will you be happy? Yes, this is gonna happen in the next decade. Using virtual reality you can attend classes even if you are in home.
The proposed concept shows that, by conference connection students will be connected. Then this will provide a classroom environment. Here the teacher can teach as like in the classroom.
This will eliminate the travel and increases the productivity of the students. Anyway, this will make students lazy.
