PUBG Mobile Lite beta with smaller map, 40 players released for devices with low RAM

     Tencent has launched the PUBG lite version of its battle royale shooter in the Philippines silently. PUBG is company's most popular battle royale game across the globe. The LITE version is based on Unreal Engine 4, and it's optimized for devices with low RAM.


     This launch makes the PUBG Mobile Lite compatible with more Android phones even with the Android phones which have low RAM without compromising the gameplay experience. The company claims that the only change is the reduction of the map size and the other experience remains the same. Changes over the original include a smaller map clocking in at 2*2 km map (ordinarily 8*8 km), and instead of 100 players, each match can only fit 40 just like the free-fire game.

     The beta access to the Lite version is given only to the Philippines and there is no information about the wide release. The game doesn't seem to be working even if you wish to side-load the APK and the OBB files.

       If you are reading this from the Philippines you are lucky to enjoy the beta version of the PUBG Mobile Lite. If you are from other countries we expect it to be available world wide.
