The first high-definition digital lighting system is provided by the Mercedes-Benz company. The lighting system is called as Multi-Beam LED technology. It has a Precision LED grid module with 84 LED chips in 3 rows (Three-stage precision optical system). It provides full flexibility and variability of all light distributions. In addition to that, it is the first electronic-adaptive low beam and adaptive high beam-assist plus. Features of Multi-Beam LED headlamp technology is as follows;
Glare-free high beam
When we are traveling on a highway, the multi-beam LED technology will allow the light to be scattered in a convex manner. So that the driver can see all the obstacles in front of the car. It also reduces the glare according to the distance of the obstacle.
Precise Deactivation of individual LED chips
During the time of travel, if another vehicle is going in front of us or it's going in opposite direction then the LED chips which illuminate the vehicle will be deactivated. So the path required to go is illuminated the blocked path is left dark. This mechanism provides the driver to go safely.
Traffic Sign Recognition
We all will be having the experience that while traveling the traffic signs will not be clear enough to read because of the light glare. Now, this technology will recognize the traffic sign and reduces the power of light which is falling over the traffic sign. This will help the driver to easily read and recognize the sign which is provided in the traffic signboard.
Adverse Weather light
Travel during night times will become tougher when it is raining. The rainwater present over the road will be reflecting the light which produces glare vision for the driver. The multi-beam LED technology has brought the solution to this problem. It reduces the glare by reducing the power of the light and scattering it. Now you can have a comfortable ride during night times especially during rainy season.
Bend Light
Mercedes-Benz provides the World first electronic bend light within the low beam. It gives early recognition of obstacles when entering a bend. Most of the accidents happen in the bend region of the road. Because we won't be able to recognize the obstacles present after the bend. This technology bends the light according to the curve of the road by using sensors so we will be able to see the obstacles or vehicles after the bend.
