YouTube web player updated to adapt to different aspect ratios

YouTube today has announced it is giving an update to the YouTube video player on the deskop. Now the player automatically adapts to various video size (aspect ratio) and screen size to provide best viewing experience. This update is already rolled out for Android and iOS. Now its coming to the desktop.

YouTube noticed that the non-wide-screen videos like vertical and square sized-videos would show black bars alongside the video, making the video really small. However, the new update vanished the needing black bars. This change aligns the video watching experience on the desktop and mobile. What basically this does is that it removes the 16:9 frame around every video, thus allowing them to appear larger and adjust them to appear larger and adjust to different window sizes accordingly.

The removal of the black bar around on every video has been removed, and it's especially noticeable on vertical videos. The change is now going live to everyone.
