When sky becomes dark, we realize that it is gonna rain. Have you ever wondered why sky becomes dark before it rains. Many genius like you have also thought about it. So let's see why sky becomes dark before rainy. Before we get started don't forget to subscribe to the blog, so that you will never miss tech updates.
We are surrounded by water molecules which are in its gaseous state. When temperature of the air near the ground increases, these molecules get rise upwards.
Then these molecules may get precipitated over the dust particles from the volcanos, automobile, etc. As the altitude increses it gets cooled to form clouds with ice crystals.
As it intake more water molecules and ice crystals, it becomes denser.
Normally, Sun light gets scattered or diffracted. This is why sky is blue. Since Blue light travels lesser distance. But clods scatter light in uniform manner. This is why clouds are white.
But rainy clouds will be more denser as it have more water droplets and ice crystals and have more height. So light cannot penetrate more. When you see it from down it will be in grey or dark.
