OnePlus 6T Price, Specs, Launch Event Summary

     The wait is finally over and the OnePlus 6T has been launched in New York today. The launch event has started at 11 am EDT (8:30 pm IST). Before starting, the Evolution of OnePlus video has been played. Let's see the launch summary and specs of OnePlus 6T.

     The launch event is started by Pete Leu ( Chief Product Officer of OnePlus).

     He told about the overview of the OnePlus Evolution. He also told that OnePlus has partnership with the T-Mobile. So by November OnePlus 6T will be available in over 5,600 stores in the U.S. He has added that one of the main focus of OnePlus is the product quality. Then he handed over the session to Kyle Kiang (Head of Nort America Region and OnePlus Global Marketing).

     Kyle Kiang started by crushing some numbers and the achievements of the OnePlus. His speech is as follows.

     OnePlus has sold $1.3 Bn USD worth products. OnePlus 6 has played a key role. OnePlus 6 has sold over $1 Mn within one week. It is the No. 1 Premium Flagship Smartphone in India. OnePlus has 5,000,000 Registered users around 196 countries.

     Then the OnePlus 6T video played on the screen. In that video, the 3700 mAh battery, waterdrop notch, dual camera were revealed and all others specs also revealed.

Screen Unlock

     Then he comes to the Screen Unlock. He told that they had tried the Screen unlock with the OnePlus 5T but it has not fulfilled their expectations ie., it was not fast enough to respond. As we all know that OnePlus focus on speed and quality. Then he told that OnePlus is the "FIRST SCREEN UNLOCK SMARTPHONE IN U.S". He also added that this is the fastest Screen Unlock sensor in the world. Engineers have worked for months to cut off every millisecond.

     The speed of the Screen Unlock is 0.34 s. They have worked with various payments and finally concluded that it is secure. It is as secure as the OnePlus 6.

Display

     They use Top-grade AMOLED display. He told that most of the community members prefer the AMOLED display. It is 6.41 inch, 19.5:9 ratio, 2340*1080, 100.63% rgb ratio.

     Kyle told that they follow 3-Design Principle. They are as follows;

Camera

     One of the major focus of OnePlus and it is good about is its camera quality. It has 16M + 20M sensors, f/1.7 aperture. It has OIS and EIS stability, 480 fps slo-mo.

     Then he introduced the Nightscape mode for the low light photography. Then he showed up some photos taken on OnePlus 6T which is pretty good and amazing. He also suggested using #OnePlusNightscape for the community members to post the photo in Nightscape mode. He told that the Nightscape mode will be available for the OnePlus 6 users from today.

     The most amazing part he introduced is the Studio Lighting for the Portrait mode. The studio lighting mode was explained by Kevin Abosch (Photographer, OnePlus Innovation Director).

     He felt proud to work with OnePlus. He told about the working and evaluation of brain while seeing a real face and a picture. The Studio Lighting provides the light to trace the real curves and thus a good portrait photo is achieved.

     Then Kyle told about working with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series and the experience with them. Then he invited Christiano Amon (President, Qualcomm Incorporated).

     He told OnePlus 6T comes with Gigabyte LTE for Light-fast connectivity, New Architecture for AI and immersive experience. He also talked about the 5G and added that they are working with OnePlus to bring 5G technology in its future mobiles.

Gaming

     Kyle took the Gaming part and told that they use the smart boost in OnePlus 6T. So the frame rate will be maintained constant. RAM is used as storage. It is 20% faster in load time.

Battery

     OnePlus has increased the battery size to 3700mAh which is a bigger battery. It increases battery life by 23%.

Software

     The software is smooth and fast in OnePlus 6T. The rating for OnePlus software is 9.4 which is the No.1 rating. In 2015 OnePlus launched the software development team. There are 500+ targeted optimizations
